Pastoral Visit

Abbot President Jonathan Licari, O.S.B. made a pastoral visit to St. Benedict’s Abbey in Atchison, KS to celebrate with the monastic community, family and friends the tenth anniversary of abbatial leadership of Abbot James Albers, O.S.B. (17 March 2013-2023).  Joining the anniversary celebration were Abbot Placid Solari, O.S.B. (Belmont), Abbot Austin Murphy, O.S.B. (Lisle) and Abbot Lawrence Stasyszen, O.S.B. (Shawnee). 

President’s Council meets in Shawnee

Abbot President Jonathan Licari, O.S.B., J.C.D, convoked a meeting of the Congregation council at St. Gregory’s Abbey in Shawnee, Oklahoma from March 16-18, 2023. The members of the council include: Abbot Lawrence Stasyszen, O.S.B. (Shawnee), Abbot Marion Nguyen, O.S.B. (Lacey), Father Edward Mazich, O.S.B. (Latrobe) Father Elias Correa-Torres, O.S.B. (Belmont) and Father Michael Patella, O.S.B. (Collegeville) as executive secretary.

Diaconate Ordination

Brother James Raber, O.S.B. was ordained to the diaconate on March 8, 2023 by the Most Rev. John Nhan Tran, D.D., Auxiliary Bishop of Atlanta, in the Basilica of St. Mary Help of Christians, Belmont, NC.
