Meeting of North American Abbots

Abbot Sharbel Ewen, O.S.B. and the monks of Prince of Peace Abbey in Oceanside, CA hosted the annual meeting of North American Abbots from February 2-6, 2024. Abbot Primate Gregory Polan, O.S.B. was present and reported on the affairs of the Benedictine Confederation and Sant’Anselmo. Abbot President Jonathan Licari, O.S.B. and abbots from our own monastic congregation joined abbots and conventual priors from other monastic congregation in North American at this annual workshop.  The two keynote presenters were Father David Songy, O.F.M.,Cap., Ph.D and Abbot Lawrence Staszysen, O.S.B.. S.T.D. on the topic of “Formation and Technology.”
